Feeling guilty

And being sorry

Are not the same.

I’ve felt guilty about being such a 

Shitty father all your life,

But it’s taken me fifteen years

To realize that my drunkenness 

Is the problem 

That offers itself as the solution.

It’s taken me 15 years

To feel sorry enough 

To put the bottle down.
