Family History Paragraph:

Jamie doesn’t have much of a complex family; that’s completely fine with her. Jamie’s father slaves away at work for a website designing company from seven to four. He barely ever works from home, and usually drives to his office. Her mother, on the other hand, is an afternoon kindergarten teacher who leaves for work at ten and comes home just about the time Jamie finishes from preschool. Jamie’s parents bought the apartment four years ago, originally planning to stay for a year at the most, just for some time to find a decent house. However, they ended up staying much longer, and had Jamie. Jamie’s parents are working hard on saving up enough money to buy a house in a better area, yet Jamie is unaware of this. Honestly, she’d rather stay in her cramped apartment, next to all the friends she could possibly wish for. Jamie was born into this world alone, and has no other siblings or cousins her age. The only relative she really cares to remember is her Aunt Helen, mainly because she has an adorable dog named Snowy. Jamie’s grandparents live in New York, which is distant from where she lives, so she doesn’t see them as often as her parents would like. In Jamie’s world, it’s just her, her mother, her father, Aunt Helen and her dog, and all of her many, many friends.

Interests Paragraph:

Jamie’s favorite color is white. Though this may seem rather unimportant, rest assured, it is not; the color links to her character, her behavior, and most importantly, her interests. Perhaps Jamie’s love for Snowy, her aunt’s small, fluffy white dog, started the development of her character, and later on influenced her interests. Snowy and Jamie were inseparable; they greeted each other with a childlike enthusiasm, and said goodbye painfully. They would tackle each other playfully in the yellow stained afternoon and bathe in each others scent under the moon light’s glow. Maybe it was the white fur that intrigued Jamie the most about Snowy’s appearance, for Jamie began showing a stronger interest in snow. The cold, the white, the delicate flakes; It all thrilled her. Jamie would prop herself against a window and pray for snowfall whenever the forecast promised rain. Whether it was the middle of June, she still held onto a wisp of hope that the next morning would grow colder than the last, and suggest snow. Because of this, Jamie had developed a regular habit of waking up early with her father to sit outside and poke at the frozen dew that would sometimes form on the grass. Afterwards, her father would go to work and Jamie would spend breakfast under the clouds with her mother, pointing out the drifting shapes in the sky. Jamie’s mother would often wish out loud for the clouds to have other colors. Being a regular cloud watcher and a fan of white, Jamie would disagree. The only time Jamie enjoyed other colors was when she drew with chalk. She didn’t care for crayons or markers or colored pencils;  just chalk. Jamie would return home every evening with chalk dust smeared onto her cheeks and caking her small fingers after playing with the other kids from her complex. Considering the fact that a small playground was propped almost directly in front of her apartment building, Jamie found it to be the perfect place to meet up with her friends and play everyday.

About Paragraph:

Jamie is used to being bathed in compliments, and luckily, she’s too young to let it all go to her head. Her preschool teachers love her, her relatives love her, her friends are friendly, and neighbors neighborly. Jamie´s always had huge, curious grey eyes and an inquisitive personality; she’d ask many questions normal 3-year-olds wouldn’t normally ask, like “How am I alive?” and “Why doesn’t the sun fall down?”. Her favorite question to ask was, “How do my dreams stay in my head?”. Being the open minded girl that she is, Jamie doesn’t hesitate to ask an… interesting question when she needs to.  Jamie’s incredible imagination contributes to her curiosity almost as much as her storybooks do, filling her head with tales that stretch reality and bend facts. Overall, Jamie´s a sweet little girl still living the care-free life of a 3-year-old.

Mystery Role Paragraph:

Jamie is oblivious, however, of the mysterious disappearances and the strange sightings in her complex. Jamie´s natural stealth and uncontainable curiosity leads her to witnessing something she should have never seen, something enough to stop the children from disappearing if she had been old enough to understand. In a mystery story, Jamie would be that loveable character who was is some way related to the detectives. Jamie would have witnessed something, and being the young, innocent child that she is, she wouldn’t understand the value of what she knows. It’s only luck that lets the detectives realize that Jamie knows something, for they overhear Jamie telling Snowy about what she saw, complaining that those people and their voices kind of scared her. Before the detectives can ask Jamie what she heard them say, Jamie leaves for school, promising to tell her ‘real life scary story’ later. She doesn’t return; she goes missing. It isn’t until the end of the story when the detectives find the reason for the disappearances does Jamie return. The reader never unriddles what Jamie heard, to contribute to the mysterious atmosphere.

Shoes Paragraph:

The boots seemed to be sparkling under a spotlight that didn’t exist, a glowing halo encircling them. At least, in Jamie’s eyes they were. The pink snowflakes attracted Jamie almost as much as the cute pink and white snowman zipper did. The neck and base were a striking, bold pink, and the body of the boots were mostly a soft white. The inside was coated with furry white fluff that reminded Jamie of Snowy’s fur. When Jamie saw the pair of snow boots just sitting on the counter in a shoe store, she knew she had to have them. It wasn’t like those other times, when Jamie would feel that small tug of greed at her heart whenever she saw some other toy or candy. She felt a pull much stronger that practically lunged her forwards. After a lot of begging and summoning all the plead Jamie could muster, her mother caved in and bought the boots. Jamie’s mother regretted it ever since. Jamie would wear them to school, on the playground, in rain, in snow, and almost everywhere.
