Dear Readers and Contributors,

I would like to take the opportunity to personally thank you all for the continuous love and support, especially through the pandemic. In just under 6 months, we’ve come so far; the magazine has been featured on Publish YOUth Writing and Poets & Writers, and the editorial team reached a whooping milestone of 100+ Advice Articles written! As we continue grow our global outreach, we’ve published over 280 creators from 25 U.S. States, 25 countries, and 6 continents across the world!

It’s been a pleasure growing this community over the past three years, so I know I speak for the entire editorial board when I say we hold this magazine and our contributors close to our hearts. It takes a tremendous amount of research and effort to manage the magazine, which is why we're so thankful for all of your support. We encourage you to share our publications and Advice Articles to help our other young creators who may be interested in pursuing their craft.

Cheers,

Animal Symbolism: A Jellyfish as a Spirit Animal

Written by Mattew K.

My personality is comparable to that of a jellyfish. Jellyfishes are symbolic of caution and inner strength; while they may appear to be harmless at a distance, the venom in their stings can be dangerous and even fatal. Though I am a threat to no one’s life, I know how to defend my good name, self-respect, and my physical self.

Additionally, similar to a jellyfish, I am totally transparent. My thoughts and ideas are written clearly in every facial expression, and I could not tell a white lie if my life depended on it. My transparency is a testament to the fact that nothing about my nature is complex or confusing. The simplicity of the jellyfish captures my taste in music, art, and preferred lifestyle. With life being so hectic at school, all I want to do is float in the darkness, not a worry in sight. The jellyfish manages to be elegant and poised, despite lacking a backbone. On the contrary, the opposite is true for me; having a backbone does not contribute to my elegance or grace. Though I have a strong conviction and an unwavering sense of self-respect, I am not a creature of style. Regardless, the jellyfish is the perfect symbol for my personality, as its strength, transparency, and simplicity reflect my own characteristics.
