Dear Readers and Contributors,

I would like to take the opportunity to personally thank you all for the continuous love and support, especially through the pandemic. In just under 6 months, we’ve come so far; the magazine has been featured on Publish YOUth Writing and Poets & Writers, and the editorial team reached a whooping milestone of 100+ Advice Articles written! As we continue grow our global outreach, we’ve published over 280 creators from 25 U.S. States, 25 countries, and 6 continents across the world!

It’s been a pleasure growing this community over the past three years, so I know I speak for the entire editorial board when I say we hold this magazine and our contributors close to our hearts. It takes a tremendous amount of research and effort to manage the magazine, which is why we're so thankful for all of your support. We encourage you to share our publications and Advice Articles to help our other young creators who may be interested in pursuing their craft.

Cheers,

There's a Monster in my Closet

Written by Jolie Kreid

There’s a monster in my closet.
He keeps me up every night.
He creates a racket now and then,
then disappears out of sight.

I’ve never caught this monster,
Not once, nor ever
I try my best, I tell on him,
but this monster seems quite clever.

I tell my mom, I tell my dad
no one believes me, it’s so sad,
the monster yells and screams
it haunts me in my dreams

Boom! Boom!
Eeek! Wheech!
I’m the only one who can hear this monster’s speech.
As I said, this monster is smart

When anyone opens the closet door,
Boom! He’s gone!
But I’m still tired and sore.
This monster never lets me rest.
He really is a pest

In the closet, under my bed,
He is always one step ahead.
He’s always gone, always here
even when I’m reassured, “There’s no need to fear”

I’m telling you now,
to go run and hide,
for my monster’s on the loose
To cage him, I’ve tried.

Yes me, I’m relieved
This is no longer his home
But now it’s searching for another one,
Around the street’s he’ll rome.

Don’t let him in,
And keep in mind, he hates light
Or otherwise,
he’s bound to give you a fright.

Good luck sleeping tonight...
